Yir-Tiki Bar Photos

As promised awhile back, here are some photos of the finished Yir-Tiki bar I built out in our back yard.

Tiki Bar

The patio area was made by digging about out the area, then shoveling in 4-5 inches of gravel and 2 inches of sand on top of that– then the 16inch tiles which weigh 40lbs a piece are just put in place and BAM! you got a nifty patio. It’s a little bare bones for decorations right now, but we’ll tiki it out in no time.

    Nice.

Weird… I just set up an identical gazebo in my parents’ backyard last weekend. It was my dad’s birthay present to my mom.
Flimsy thing too, especially since we didn’t have a flat surface like that to put it on. Didja crack any of the bamboo setting it up? We did. :)

  3. DJ Says:

Nope, ours was pretty sturdy and the bamboo didn’t crack. I know the one setup in the store was wobbly.

Wow, DJ… good work, this is awesome! Looks like a great place to chill out and let creativity inspire you while keeping an eye on the kidlings. I want one of these now! (The patio… not necessarily the kidlings.) :-)
