Many thanks to Wiz Rollins for continuing to write for Yirmumah while I left him hanging for awhile. He’s very chill and laid back, while other people would have likely bitten my head off. Here’s an update on what everyone here at Yirmumah HQ has been up to.

You all know what I’ve been up to — With the help of Platinum Studios I’ve been living my dream, and unashamedly drawing my own Super Hero comic, (one of the best super hero comics EVER if I do say so myself) HERO BY NIGHT. I’ve really put my all into it, writing something that I’ve hoped tried to be an ode to legendary comics forefathers like Jack Kirby, Joe Simon, Will Eisner and Wally Wood. I may never be as good as those guys, but oh how i’ll try. The book is out there now and getting great reviews. Currently I’m still working on the 4 issue series pretty much full time, and I’m really hoping to have the opportunity to keep doing the Hero stories for a long time and helping to keep comics alive for new generations, and generally revolutionize the way comics are made and delivered to the good readers out there.

Writer Wiz Rollins has been up to no damn good. Writing two other more adult and adultly sophisticated webcomics. One is about very adult called “There’s Always Porn” with artist Bob Sugar, and the other is called “The Sophisticated Pig” and drawn by a magnificent cartoonist named Chad Diez — I never in my wildest dreams believed that I’d run across someone with a more twisted mind than mine, but Wiz takes the cake. And I love him for it.

I know I’ve been flakey on the Yirmumah updates, and I’m sorry for it. I thought I’d clear up some questions that have popped up, and also announce a couple things here, so bear with me…. First, a lot of people have been asking if I will return to the ORIGIN storyline. I will say YES, but just not right now. I found with Origin, it was becoming hard or actually sad and depressing to think of how to write about MY actual childhood in a positive light. But I DO want to chronicle the whole damn thing at some point, if only to have the chance to have my own grandchildren one day pick it up and real all about how I got here, what I did, etc…etc. Good and bad. Thick and thin. I’ve often wished I had some written record of my own great grandfather’s life, even as mundane and normal as it might have been. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a COMIC about your family? Well, either cool, or awfully depressing. But like my good friend Dave and Carol Burnett have said…. TIME+TRAGEDY= COMEDY. Dave sure was right!

I also want to announce that CLUB YIRMUMAH has changed. Current club members can login to see details. But, in general, a club membership is now LIFETIME! I’ve felt pretty bad over the past couple months when subscriptions would auto-renew and there’d be no new content for club members in the club forum, so now, all current members have a lifetime membership… Club Yirmumah members have more and more over the years just become MY FRIENDS. Plus they are a handy sycophantic army to raise when I need them to fight for me in the shadows of the internet. But mostly, they are friends. From the depths of the shadows of Club Yirmumah, I’ve been able to make critical decisions with their help, and we’ve had a lot of laughs. So, it’s with great joy that I welcome new readers with open arms to CLUB YIRMUMAH for a lifetime. Go see what it’s all about.
