Welcome to the long weekend. Just some links to things I’m finding on the internet before coffee. I may post others as I find them.
Yir-Myspace: I don’t often link to it, but if you’re on myspace, add Yirmumah as a friend. I’m thinking about doing something different with the myspace page soon. no, not one of those lame “Oh my god, my character is real and has a myspace page” gimmick. ***EDIT- < That was an inside joke there, because as people know from the last time I linked the page, we were trying to have the Llama have his own Myspace and be disassociated and pissed off at the Yirmumah site. It was a dumn idea. Here’s the link.

Welcome new monthly sponsor Dueling Analogs! Why did I just use an exclaimation mark? I don’t know. I gotta cool down on using those so much. Sponsor money isn’t much, I keep it really cheap to advertise there, but it ends up being enough to pay my internet/cable bill PLUS be able to take my wife out to lunch of dinner a couple times. For creators out there, I stumbled on some neat entries about timing and pacing in your comic pages. I don’t suggest overduing these, but it is useful information to embed in your brain. This is by a talented Manga Artist called Rivkah, here’s PART ONE and then PART TWO.
It’s great how the internet has changed things. All that information on pacing and timing, I bought in a book called Comics And Sequential Art by Will Eisner . Now, you can get bits and pieces of information like that for free online, but if you’re a serious creator or cartoonist, you should plunk down the 15 bucks and keep that book onhand and nearby. It’s the comic artist’s bible, and priceless information.
Blambot’s fonts for September have been released. His free font this month is called Atland Sketches and his pro font this month is called Musashi. Click here to check em out. 90% of my fonts are proudly Blambot fonts.
Zefrank is off until Tuesday (Sportsracers = Sad), but he’s put up a neat page of “best of”s and links to the forums, etc etc. I especially like “Brain Crack” - Hey, visit him… after all, he’s thinking so you don’t have to. LINK!
And lastly, for now… I might have to buy one of these for Dave’s wife. I still don’t know what the “inside joke” is there, but I’m sure they’d dig that dress.
