Update: Wherein I discuss my diet, family stuff and ghosts.
First up, I am seriously neglecting the “Biggest Webcomic Loser” weight loss thing. I’m still in it, but I haven’t done a special comic for the site and I keep missing my update for it, and not pimping myself out for sponsors, etc. I might drop out entirely if I can’t keep this in my schedule better. I won’t quit my diet plan, of course, in fact, that’s going pretty well. I’ll try to do my best in the future to get some sort of special strip up, diet related, but it’s just one more special thing to think about for me, and that’s why I keep dropping that ball.
About my diet, (because some of you have asked): I’ve lost 5lbs total, but it seems to fluctuate a bit on the scale, which bugs me. Finally, though, it feels like I’m making some headway. I’ve had to tighten my belt up on the jeans, and that’s a good sign. I continue to eat healthy stuff, salads, juices, etc. No Soda, (or “POP” as we call it in Fayette-Nam). Exercise on the eliptical machine hasn’t been as frequent as I’d like, so I’m focusing more on that in the coming weeks. I’ve felt like for the first month of dieting, my body was kinda trying to hold onto the weight, or I was building muscle up, then suddenly, it’s starting to come off slowly. So yeah, this is boring to read about.. BLAH!
Family stuffage: We’re still living in bummerville over the loss of my wife’s grandfather. She’s doing a little better as the days go on, but the littlest things can set her off. Totally understandable.
Yirmumah Stuffage: I’m working like a dog here on prepping the next book. The first big thing is a new bonus story for issue 2, which is being colored and lettered today. Not sure if I’ll get it done. Club Members have already had a sneak peek, and will see it as soon as it’s done, of course.
For anyone who hasn’t gotten their issue one books in the mail yet, I don’t know what to say. Some people got their books SUPER FAST, and few others are still waiting. I can’t figure it out. Remember though, it’s only been about 10 business days since books started shipping, the bulk of the orders before the 13th went out on the 13th and 14th, so give it a little more time. Tom Petty sang it best…”The waiting, is the hardest part”
Later today, I may blog more about GHOSTS, Spirit lines, and how that all actually helped me to draw better when I was 18.
