As for the “what happens next?” game I’ve been 1 and 1 on so far: he’s either going to kick him while he’s down, or he’s going to help him up and buy him a drink. Because the Christian thing to do is to… buy someone a drink after you knock ‘em down? Heh heh!

What a charitable thing to do. Patch was clearly so irritable because of that painful tooth that the Deacon was kind enough to remove. I’m sure his demeanor will be much improved now. It was the least the Deacon could do for Patch’s help in trying to spit-shine the bible.
