Hurricane related: That was a pretty nifty music benefit on Vh1, MTV, CMT last night, “ReACT NOW” - And wouldn’t you know it, Pearl Jam on MTV, never thought I’d see the day again. It was a song from their set in Saskatchawan, they’re currently on tour in the great north. Besides Pearl Jam, there were some other really great performances. And WOW, Trent Reznor all grew up and stuff. My wife and I were kinda shocked, but I told her, well, isn’t he like 40 something now? You can’t stay 24 forever, but damn he can still belt it out.
There were some BAD performances too, I have no idea why Motley Crue was there, they had the guy from Linkin Park with them. I’m wagering that they lied and said it was Linkin Park, and then when the curtain went up, SURPRISE! MOTLEY CRUE! — No, seriously, it was cool to see the mix of music, from Hip-Hop, Rap, Country, Rock, Live Rock, Pop, and Washed up Rock. Then, Mitch Clem’s favorite guy on the planet finished the show, good ol’ Neil Young.
Speaking of Mitch Clem.… What’s up dude?? Get your comic going again already you fucking slackass! JEEZ! Just kidding, we love you. *throws goat*
Work related: If you think I haven’t been busy, you’d be wrong. I’ve been working on some things behind the scenes that I can’t show yet…. also, I’ve been working on more caricatures, which it’s like a catch 22 when I link, because it DOES bring MORE caricatures in when I link them, but it also usually slams me with rush jobs. Being busy is good though. I haven’t updated the caricature page in a while with new pictures, as I’ve lacked the time, or when I do remember to do so, I’m busy. Here are a couple that no one has seen ‘cept for the people who got ‘em.
There are more, but I can’t find where I uploaded them to, dammit! Also, I’ll be doing some RPG work soon I guess. I don’t know what game it’s for actually, but i have a good idea it has something to do with Ninjas. Just a hunch. I’ve also had people ask for me to draw their Warcraft characters, which I might start doing. I need more time in the day. My priorities are Yirmumah, then everything else.
Life related: The Steelers play today. Not a huge sports fan here, but we support our Steelers. That’s about it. Sunday ritual for Pittsburghers.
Yir-Drunkerd: Also, we got our drink on last night. Another rare occassion here. I finally switched from my usual Rum and Coke to trying the Southern Comfort “100 proof” brand. It tastes like Juicy Fruit gum in your coke— and it made my cheeks numb very quick. I think I’ll stick to my Sailor Jerry’s Rum though, but the booze shop had it on backorder. CURSE Y’UNZ!
I use to be proud of the fact I never smoked or embibed the alcohol, but now as I get older, I can see what they mean when they say it takes the edge off and mellows you out. You’ll never catch me smoking though, I really don’t need cancer. A bad liver, you say? BAH! Not when your liver is made of STEEL!

Nothing Nice To Say DOES need to get back and update more… I miss it so…
As for benifits for the hurricane victims, the more the better. The event, though, has changed the face of this country, atleast the southern part. My town’s population used to be mostly white and mexican with a splash of orientals from various places and just a tiny pinch of black. Now we’re supporting over 1000 hurricane refugees at various churchgrounds (I live in Siloam Springs, Ar., a town that has been in the Guinness world book for most churchs per square mile till Las Vegas beat us out with drive through chapels). Being a Cashier at Wal-Mart, and being encouraged to be friendly and conversational with the customers, I have talked to a good number of hurricane survivors, most of which are black that we have taken in. A good number of them plan to stay. The saddest thing about this is that our used to be dormant KKK members have risen up again. The local Highschool was vandalized with racist remarks. My question is why are they just now acting up when we have a large mexican and decent sized asian population? Maybe the blacks are just easier for them to pick on right now because they’re all pretty much out of place, confused, and without any real power to fight back. Woot for cowardly biggots! (cough). Anywho, there’s my rant on your rant.
Juicy fruit flavored alcoholic beverage that makes your cheeks numb? Gonna have to try that one.

damn the KKK for their bigotry and hate. why dont they go back to the fifties where they didnt belong, either? incorrect, outdated, hate-filled cowards.
and they use the book of my faith to back up their claims too. makes me sick to my stomach. they’re no better than terrorists blaming muhammed for their actions, as well.

Trent Reznor still is fucking amazing. As blasphemous as some people may say this is, I think With Teeth is probably one of his best albums to date.

Dude, With Teeth rocks.
It’s back to the old, but with a serious twist of new.
Makes me happier than anything since the Downward Spiral. Not that it’s supposed to make me happy though, but you know what I mean!

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean, man. I have been this inspired since I first heard Spiral.
