strip: Burning Bridges
Unfortunately for some, this is a lesson learned too late. I’ve burned plenty of bridges, but seriously, sometimes it’s better to just grow up a bit and stop thinking only about yourself. It’s been my experience, with people I’ve known, my own mother even, that when you live like that, you will be miserable and die alone and bitter.
So, the answer then must be, since life is so short, you should do what you love to do as much as possible…. if what you like to do is burn bridges, then heed my warning, sooner or later, you WILL run out of bridges to burn.
Yirmumah rule #1: Whatever is best for Yirmumah.

While Drew and Bob (the characters) may be based on real people, they are in fact, NOT REAL. For instance, I have it on real good athority that D.J. and Bob have never beaten and lit another person on fire.
Christopher Reeves is dead but the still make Superman comics, ya know.

As to the Bob thing, I’m not loving these comics either, but we get good stuff because DJ gives it to us uncensored, so if this is what he’s feeling, have at it. I might like some of these better on second look. In fact, looking at today’s again, it looks like a gleeful roast of Bob rather than anger. I like the placards “love life,” “career” and “family” and see that those bridges were rather more substantial than the rope “Yirmumah.” Also based on the flames, Yirmumah was recent while others were burned a while ago. Now I’m wondering which recent category was burned, on the bottom left of the cartoon.

I agree with shroddfather. it is a really good comic. I dont know how anyone could expect a comic that is going through a big change like this to just ignore it and make with the regular funny. like he said, its only been a week. sheesh.

this has nothing to do with the comic ( everyone else complained enough about it ), but rather about what you wrote under it. I went to sketchbattle, read your shit, voted for your shit, read it again, laughed, then Googled crashlander+yoda ad per your suggestion. And I discovered you misquoted him. Actaully, one of the quotes wasn’t from him at all, but rather from a reply to one of his posts. The one about puppet yoda. Just thought you should know.
On a side note, your sketch was way better than his. He resorted to lame jokes that my 11 year old sister thught were stupid.
