Saturday blog!

Ok.. let’s talk stuff….. first, the new shirt. If you haven’t ordered one, do so when you can. If no girls order, then I won’t be stocking any girl sizes. And Hoodies MUST be bought by the 23rd, because those are all special order. If you don’t have paypal, you can still use any major credit cards through that secure checkout thingy - SHIRT ORDERING INFO — It’s beena mild week for pre-orders, but many of you have told me you will be ordering. Expect heavy reminders next week. :)

Naked Shower update: I fixed the wobbly part of the showerhead last night. I guerilla glued that beeyotch to the wall. Worked like a charm! So, in dealing with annoyances this past week, I get to mark a couple off of my list. Just like Earl!

Looks like we won our first SketchBattle. That crashlander guy is REALLY bent out of shape it seems. Oh well! I guess the Yirmumah site sent a good bit of traffic their way, but I still feel like we’re getting something back since some new people can maybe discover us and love us or hate us. When I say “US” , I mean ME and the comic strip and website. No, I’m not crazy. THEY told me to say that…..
when I say “THEY”…. the voices in my head… yeah.

Anyway, yeah, it’s been a fun a week. I hate bragging up my own comics, I downright dread it, but I have to tell you, that HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED strip really had me laughing. I usually don’t like laughing at my own work, I just do it and move on to the next one and let the folks out there enjoy it.

PRIDE SHOUT OUT! I’m really proud of what Yirmumah’s been doing and the GOOD relationships it’s built. I’m sick of building bad ones and burning bridges. It serves no purpose to get super angry over a tiny thing and then burn the whole thing down. So, We’re also seen on a couple other sites now too. I see them sort of as partners, helping to spread the word of Yirmumah– First is Crapville.com, a great site for games, funny videos, and the guy that runs it, Tony, is a class act. He was the first person I contacted about doing a strip specifically for his site, and he accepted Yirmumah willingly. ALthough I bet he does get sick of the moody comics. (hah!) - He’s been really patient with me and helped bring the strip more readers. I appreciate the hell out of it! —

The second place we remote cast is over at ComicsSHerpa and Ucomics.com , which are “work safe” i guess. It helps open us up to a whole new readership of people reading all the classic newspaper strips. Needless to say, the Efh Bunny has to to say EFH! Over there and not the full on F*Ck….. Another good example of me not burning a bridge. When the editor e-mailed me and told me I needed to watch the language, and I couldn’t even say a word like “clunker” — instead of telling him off, I listened to what he had to say and decided it might be in our best interest to allow the audience there to continue. Could you imagine if they offered Yirmumah a spot in papers?? Hah! I couldn’t, but still…. how would that even work. It probably wouldn’t. The average age of newspaper readers is 55. Not REALLY our target market there, although we do have plenty of people in their 50s who read Yirmumah online. I at least know 2 of them personally….

Third, and the newest place Yirmumah is featured is the all new CRACKED.COM - I hope to either get a regular Yirmumah feature in the magazine, or at least. The editors have been great in corresponding with me to let me know what they want and need, and they even pointed out a couple of typos that EVERYONE missed! Wow, give those guys a raise! Who knew editors actually edited!? Anyway, I can’t wait to see what they have in store for their new magazine, I hear it’s a bit different than the Cracked of old…

That’s it for me… I’m off to join THE ORDER OF THE LLAMA in some World of Warcraft action today.
Anyone playing, we’re on Dark Spear server, and you can PM Yirmumah to join up.

Shame you dont play Guild Wars, Imo, it’s more fun, since you can do quests over and over, pvp, and more, but hey, I haven’t even tried WoW, so what the heck am I knocking on? Better I tried it and beleive that either is better, than to simply put out and say “GW is better” right?
