Awh man… Gilligan was awesome. He died today. 70 ain’ t bad though… but still, Gilligan deserved at least to get to 90 or 100.

Sad news.

Man, I grew up on Gilligan’s Island. I watched so much of that show, I was one of those “and the rest” castaways, I swear. A piece of my childhood died today.
But hey: at least the Skipper can’t beat him with his hat anymore.

Yep. He’s gone up to that big SS Minnow in the sky.

Well, Looks like The Skipper finally has his little buddy back. He, The Skipper, and Mr. & Mrs. Howell, have all gone onto that three hour tour in the sky.

DJ, if you don’t draw that comic, I’m gonna have to get nasty.
September 6th, 2005 at 8:14 pm
good idea, dj, that would be a killer comic!

This news saddens me almost as much as when Mr. Rogers died. DAMN it SUCKS getting old(er)! It’s like a piece of your childhood dies with that person. Strange. Next it’s gonna be Dick Clark that bites it………..Oh wait, I forgot…….he’s never gonna bite it cause he sacrifices kittens to stay young.

That sucks. I used to go out of my way to watch Gilligans Island. That being said, I hope to see a strip either making fun of him or making fun with him.

Personally I’d just like to see Gilligan with Ass-Kicking Sherlock Holmes & Zombie Lincoln and the ghost of Bob Marley, all playing the Gilligan’s Island theme on the Uke.
But I’m weird like that

Rest in Peace little buddy!

I first knew him as Maynard G. Krebs.. From Dobie Gillis.. He was the “beatnik” character, complete with bongo drums.. I thought he was truly cool..
Although his success came with Gilligan I will always remember him as Maynard..

Bob is at peace and he’s watching over his wife, Dreama, and his adult children: Megan, Emily, Kim, Patrick and Colin. Appreciated, I say, Bob has blessed us all with his humor and his caring as ahuman being. See you when I get there, Bob. Love you!!
