Psychic Artist Nailed Ramsey Murder Suspect in 1998
I’ve been trying to keep the blog free of outside news and junk, but I found this really interesting. In 1998, a self proclaimed psychic named Dorothy Allison drew a sketch of who she believed was the killer of JonBenet Ramsey– Dorothy then passed away in 1999. However the Ramsey family released this sketch online and through a press conferance:

And here’s the guy who just confessed.

That is just very weird. As an artist, I can see where she nailed some of the key facial features of this guy, possibly at a younger age too.

I will be curious to see where this case goes. I’m getting the feeling that this is just one of those guys that becomes so obsessed with a case, that the only way to get even closer to it is to become part of it. I woudn’t be surprised if he is found not to have been involved. So far I’ve read that he has been studying/following this and another murder case for years, his ex-wife has already come forward with an alibi, and he says he drugged and raped her…while toxicology reports on JonBenet revealed she did not have drugs in her system. Now, I know better than to believe everything I’ve read…so I am really eager to hear how the DNA tests come out. And yes…the psychic drawing is eerily similar! Time will tell on this one!

Sure got his eyes and nose right. His chin is a little softer now, but that could be age.

Totally nailed the eyes and nose. The expression in the lips is pretty close too.

Wow, that sketch is pretty eerie… definitely got the eyes and nose! I agree that I’m not sure how much of this guy’s story to believe. I mean, if he researched the JonBenet case as much as he said he did, then he would have known that her tox screen came back clean (i.e. no drugs were found in her system). So why he would say that is anyone’s guess. Deliberate smoke screen?

Chin’s all wrong. And where are the vanishing points?
Who draws this crap?

I have to disagree, I don’t think she got the eyes or the nose, let alone the jawline. Besides my skepticism of psychics, I think a lot of that might be chalked up to lack of drawing ability. The only thing she got close was cheekbones, but that’s just one out of all the details she missed.
August 17th, 2006 at 10:42 pm
Not even close. Sorry DJ. Jawline is so far off it is ridiculous. Eyes aren’t right at all. As near as I can tell she was going for some kind of asian eye type.
Lets look at some of the rest of it. Child murdered, possibly molested, strangled, inside and upper middle class home, nothing stolen. If you look at the trends on that what do you get? Skinny white impish guy. Oh wow, look what the “psychic” drew! A Skinny White Impish Guy! And she threw in some other features just incase it turned out to be and asian guy or a grey alien.
This is purely shotgunning a picture and hoping it hit. Lucky shot.
Seriously, does anyone else see a close resemblance to the “Greys” that people always draw?

I have to agree. The nose is completly off as are the eyes, lips, chin, ears and well, the neck as well. Only the cheek bones are close and let us face facts, when someone is that thin they are going to have more pronounced cheek bones. Damnit, I almost forgot. The eye brows are much narrower and shorter in the drawing as well.
Do I care if I am using proper punctuation? Not really.
He does seem to resemble what they call “Greys”. I hope he comes in peace. I would improve upon that “psychic” sketch with a glass helmet which they are often seen in but my meager graphics abilities make that impossible. Oh well, just picture him with the helmet like the Undersea Ghost wore in Scooby Doo. Minus the fugly, plus 7 inches.

Brent– one thing though… many psychic artists aren’t trained portrait people. They draw usually starting with the eyes and nose and work out, and then the image they see fade. Had she been a full on portrait artist I have no doubt the proportions would be better.
What I see, just from an artisitic structure part is the eyes, nose and high cheekbones and set back ears and hairline. — oh, and the neck to me is interesting too.
I think they both look like aliens! hahahah Good call Brent!

Is it me.. or does this guy just SCREAM X-Files guest-star???
August 18th, 2006 at 1:20 am
Nope . This suspect probably didn’t do it . The only real proof is DNA - and the Boulder police have it . All that’s needed is to compare his with it - all questions immediately answered . I think he’s just screwy - but not the killer . And as far as the sketch it either depicts him or EVERY SINGLE GREY ALIEN EVERY WACKOFF EVER DESCRIBED !

Well, think carefully and be honest — how many people do you know that also kinda sorta resemble this picture? Of course, they aren’t accused of this particular murder. With them, you’re not looking for any similarities. And, of course, the photograph has been snapped from a similar angle and, luckily enough, the suspect is looking approximately in the same direction as the guy in the sketch, which lends a pleasant symmetry to the images, even though they don’t really look alike. (If you look at another image of the guy, the similarity pretty much disappears.)
Just to prove a point, I picked a few pictures from teh intarweb that kinda resembled the image this so-called psychic made. Tell me — if you were to put these guys in an identification parade line-up, along with the suspect now in custody, could you pick — by any other method than pure guesswork — the one they’re holding now if all you were using as a guide was the sketch she made?
Guy 1
Guy 2
Guy 3
Guy 4
Guy 5
Guy 6
Guy 7
I think not.
And, of course, it’s in doubt whether they actually have the guy or not, since he’s not exactly forthcoming with convincing details. As Brooks said, DNA will probably tell.

Here is what I would like to see happen.
Option 1. This is the guy. I would like to see all the OTHER “Psychics” drug out and have them explain WHY they were wrong and didn’t get this guy.
Option 2. This isn’t the guy he is just some loon. Drag out this “Psychic” and make him explain how it got it wrong too. If he brings up this picture and talks about drawing someone that “would” come forward, then ask him if anyone ask him to draw a picture of a possible suspect or if they ask him to draw a picture of the killer.
This “Psychics” that run around “helping” the people are bottom feeders. There has never been a case of a “Psychic” helping to find someone. NEVER. Most of the time they just waste police resources on wild goose chases. The rest of the time the police just ignore them.
They have made thousands of wrong guesses and no one ever calls them on it. The show on the USA network called “Psych” is as close to you could get to a real “psychic”, because that is the best they could do. Look at context clues and tell you what they think happened. The bad thing is that most of them aren’t really that observant like in the TV show.
The only talent this “Psychic” seems to have is to take a “Grey” sketch and add hair, iris, pupils, ears and a shirt collar.
Seriously this guy could only have been taking “Psyhic” impressions from the Greys. I would believe Elvis and the Greys came down and killed the girl before I would believe this is a picture of the killer.
Man that was a long bitch. Sorry. Stuff like this just makes me mad.

Okay, so the psychic had a 50-50 shot on choosing between a fat guy and a skinny guy then got a few characteristics right. Excuse me while I stifle a yawn.
The truth is that psychics have never solved or actually helped in any way, a police investigation. Police don’t like them because they hinder an investigation with their “leads,” which go nowhere. Police don’t actively seek out psychic help. The psychics take advantage of the family’s desperation to do anything to find their loved ones and worm their way into the investigation, normally with the family’s support. Then they make really helpful suggestions like, “I think she’s near water,” or “I feel that she’s being held in an old house.”
Then if the missing person is actually found - by the police doing their job - and there’s a small lake 50 miles away, the psychic claims victory and gets to go over her 15 minutes of fame.
These people are amongst the lowest, scummiest people out there.
