The cigarette? Obviously you’ve never seen a REAL MAN smoke. They can sort of like, hover that damn thing out there, barely hanging onto their lip, or even, magically floating near their face!!!
What’s funny is… this is the scene I originally planned for ORIGIN. But when I sat down to write, I went off into the Hobo story and Jonah and the Whale– and now here we are 19 pages later and FINALLY getting to THE ORIGIN. So, today, you learn how he got his name “DEACON” —

Okay, DJ, now you’ve got me second-guessing myself. The fist shakes with anger, but could it also be restraint? Is this really going to end with the stereotypical ultraviolence, or will something unexpected be the conclusion to this scene?
