Where Has Kitty Gone?

Kitty has Gone Missing

Cats are weird. Don’t you hate it when they just up and dissappear and you look all over and it’s like they’ve gone through some interdimensional doorway to a cat hiding place you can’t find.

Site Layout Changes

I got bored and wanted a 3 column front page so I’m experimenting with the new layout. It’s also a way to put our monthly sponsor box on the main page in clearer view. I’ll leave it for a spell like this while I tweek, but one click changes it all back to the other theme. Something about the old archiving setup of the next and previous buttons for the posts was screwy and it annoyed me when I’d look to search something and couldn’t find it right away. MEH.

Hey, why not VISIT THE STRIP ARCHIVES and waste some time looking back on all the fun we’ve had together. Some people think I’m new to mocking American Idol but, Remember this one? Memories….

Have you ever had the experience of your cat coming into the room and you start to lose your mind ’cause you swear that you let it out just half an hour ago? And you start asking yourself ‘How the hell did it get back in?!? Did I really put it out!?!? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!?!?’

    What? No? Oh–Then maybe I’m just crazy…

  2. Shiva Says:

I dunno about the new site layout. When I came to the page I noticed the sponsors instead of the comic. I think that it’s great that you’re really showing off your sponsors, but shouldn’t the comic be first? Layout doesn’t really matter to me in the end…I’ll be a daily reader forever!

  3. DJ Says:

Yeah there are a few things I need to tweek– that main spot will now showcase the latest available print comic cover, and the sponsors below it.

Also, I have to fix up the comment section so comment links are nearer to the title somehow.

My cat just got me kicked out of my apartment building! If you’d asked me a week ago what I would do in this situation I would say get rid of the cat and stay int he fabulous building… needless to say I’m now looking for a new place. Damn loveable furballs.

I love the look of genuine worry on Drew’s face in the first few panels. Thats a nice touch.

Also, I agree with Shiva about the site layout. I felt almost like I had to “search” for the comic amongs all of the sponsors.

Not got a cat myself, but i have looked after my brother while he was away and that thing is just weird

eats it’s chew toys, which it then loves to sit in your lap and throw up again, and it it currently engaged in a long term war with the guinea fowl on the farm

if you dont know what one is, google it, it’s the thing with the round body and tiny head, looks like an experiment gone wrong

As for the site layout, everything seems a little too far to the right, entirely possible its a combination of firefox and my 1280×1024 resolution, but it still looks kinda weird

I have three. Three is not a number for those not initiated in the way of the feline for at three their powers are cubed. On several occasions I have combed my house looking for one of them, with no help from her sisters I might add, only to have her show up a couple hours later totally unconcerned.

Regarding the site layout, I agree with Neil. It’s a combination of the blue margin and the slightly wider left column (compared to the right) that makes the whole page list to the right. Or is that yaw?

  8. DJ Says:

For some reason, in Firefox, the whole main table is off to the right a little– more blue on the left then right. In IE it’s centered and runs ok.

    hmmm.

  9. Wiz Rollins Says:

I’ve been dealing with the FireFox/IE nudge for weeks, DJ. Been trying to get my new site design up and running, but works fine in one browser looks fucked up in another. Makes me crazy.

    Looks good in Opera, dude.

Interdimensional doorway? H.P. Lovecraft had a story about something like that (Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath perhaps?).

Love your stuff DJ, keep up the good work!
