KISS signs with Platinum, webcomic and comicbook coming…
Some news I’ve known about for awhile, but kept my lips sealed… KISS has signed a deal with Platinum Studios (my publisher) to release a new comic book line as well as some sort of webcomic at their main Kiss Comics Group website. The new broke today on Newsarama- LINK TO STORY
So…. who’s ready for a KISS webcomic?
I had gotten a call back in November (??) giving me this info, and the fact I’d be featured in an upcoming Wizard Magazine, and I might be signing at a table with Gene Simmons at WizardWorld LA. I know our forum’s own, Adam Black is crapping his pants right about now. He’s the biggest KISS fan I know. Well, maybe second biggest now that I think about it.
Also, I don’t see his name listed yet, but I happen to know a colorist who’ll be working on said books.
Back to the drawing board for me!

Yeah ! L . A . Comic Con ‘ Rock City , babies !! Me & Gene will be there lean n’ mean to meet & greet ! And if all goes as planned - and we ‘re trying to rock it out - there ‘ s going to be a LIVE KISS performance in the main room …….with D.J. Coffman on electric uke ! It’s gonna’ be KISS - A - RIFFIC !! An’ believe me - you ain’t NEVER seen an audience break down n’ sob like you ‘re going to see when D.j. ukes out an acoustic version of ” Beth “…-sniff-..KISS hankies will be selling for $5.99 at the front booth …..ROCK N’ ROLL !!!!!!!!

FAN - ROCKIN’ - TASTIC ! I see Paul has already started to spread the bombastic greatness that will - in time - be KISSTORY . Yes , it is now written on a KISS memo pad ( $ 6.99 ) WITH a KISS pen ($3.99 ) that Mr. D.J. Coffman WILL be onstage - IN FULL MAKE-UP - and uke-ing out to a contractual 3 songs with us onstage . All I can say is this - you THINK you’ve heard ” God Of Thunder ” before - but now think of it in UKE !! All hail COFFMAN !!!!!!!….and don’t forget to visit our merchandise booth located just to the left of the ” Coke & Liqour : But I Hardly KNOW her ” booth by the nacho machine . ROCK N’ ROLL !!!!

Holy things I did not expect to read on DJ’s internet page today, yet strangely, not all that surprising. KISS has always been on the edge of monetizing entertainment, so I think this makes all KINDS a’ sense and hopefully we’ll see a hole swath of people looking at webcomics that have never done so before.
Also: I saw kiss in Milwaukee a few years ago with The Nuge and THEY ROCKED.

Aw, if any ex-KISS members feel left out, the crew over at Bomb Shelter Comics can put a webcomic together for you. All you gotta do is ask me. You’ll just have to expect it to be something more of a fun project rather than one that would make anybody any money.
