I HAVE A DREAM!

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day everyone. I’m sleeping in!

Martin Luther King Day

What a game yesterday!! Wow. Steelers took it just like I said they would. Although, at the end, it looked like some REALLY crooked officiating was going on, them taking away that clean interception…. but it’s fate this year. All the way to Detroit baby!

Who better to lead us into a new age of enlightenment and tolerance than the drama llama?

  2. Steve Says:

Good call on the game. The Steelers defense were monsters. Glad they won. Would have pissed me off if the Colts came back and won after that horrible reversal on the pass interference call. Also, glad to see a cartoonist talk about sports. Onto the strip, the lama rules. Excellent job. I could see the lama overtaking this holiday. All hail ALD Angry Lama Day.

  3. Bryan Covington Says:

If it makes you feel any better the officiating was unforgivable across the league. The Panthers were abused repeatedly by awful calls all afternoon.

Good luck with Denver, that’s gonna be a tough one.

  4. DJ Says:

Denver!? PSHHH! As if beating the best team in the league was easy? hahahha.. I think Denver is going to be a good game, but the Steelers will dominate.

They want the Super Bowl BAD.

  5. Seth F. Says:

We’ve been hearing the “Bettis’ last season” rumors for a while now, I think the Steelers want to get to Detroit to put a Super Bowl Ring on Bettis. I’d love to see them go all the way this year.

I have a dream. I dream that anyone who feels they are oppressed will ‘take up arms against the government oppressing them’.

I have a dream that Kanye West will take the constitution for word and lead a charge on Washington.

    That’s my dream.

  7. Jeege Says:

I like the Steelers and all, but they are on too long a winning streak. All signs point to a Broncos win next week.

Sorry DJ! I wish I had better news.

Great comic today, by the way.

  8. DJ Says:

    too long a winning streak!?

Hah! anyone remember last year’s run? 6 wins in a row isn’t much.

  9. Jeege Says:

I’m tellin ya man! Thats alot of wins to ask a team thats been on the road for as long as them. They are definetly road dogs, but woa. They’ve acheived some incredible things this year, INCLUDING knocking my boys out of the race. (Watch out for the Vikes next year) But, I don’t think they can pull that many wins out of hat like they’ve been doing. The Colts were on a down-tick towards the end of the season, emotionally and physically, and even they were coming back on the Steelers until the final seconds of the game. I just don’t know man! Thats alot to ask a football team.

I hope they win though! Don’t get me wrong. My roomate is a Bronco fan and he won’t leave me be if they get into the super bowl.

So heres to the Steelers! Pull off the miracle!

The Steelers losing because they have won too many in a row doesn’t really hold water. The Broncos themselves are on a 5 game winning streak, and finished the regular season winning four in a row just like the Steelers. Also, teams have gone on long winning streaks to win the Super Bowl in years past. Baltimore (mostly on the road) did it in 2000, and the Patriots did it the year after. If the Steelers lose on Sunday, it will be because they let Plummer beat them. I’m confident we can shut down Denver’s running game, and that means its up to Plummer. We’ll see if he can do it.

Also, someone brought up a cartoonist talking about sports. I agree, I think it’s great when cartoonists talk about sports (because sports and drawing are my two favorite things), and I’m kinda surprised there aren’t that many Sports-based cartoons are out there. The audience would be there I would think. Just my thoughts.

    GO STEELERS!!

  11. DJ Says:

I think the thing that makes me think the Steelers can take the Broncos is that Plummer doesn’t do too well under a heavy blitz, if his guys aren’t open, he seems to throw it away a lot. At least the games I’ve seen. And let me tell you man, if he goes tossing stuff away too much, I know of this guy with wild hair that will probably be leaping in to take a couple of those.

That’s my prediction. I think the next game is going to be a BIG one for Polamalue.

  12. Jeege Says:

Well, I hope you guys are right. Good point about the Patriots and Ravens, I hadn’t forgotten about them, I just thought of them as in a little different situation.

  13. RichK Says:

Beware of the Broncos blitzing. You all saw what they did to the Pats. I hope the Steeler O-line can pick them up.

And as an Oakland fan I want to see Denver out, in a rout!

Nota bene: this cartoon’s a huge hit with this lovely bunch:

I have faith in the machine of a mind that is Mike Shanahan to lead us on to victory. You still holding that thumb up DJ? ;)

It is going to be a MAD-house here next weekend. And the inmates are wearing ORANGE!
