How I Spent the 13th of May
I spent today, May 13th, doing honest to god physical labor in our yard. First, shoveling around 3 tons of gravel where a future storage shed will be– and then while we were out digging around we figured we’d dig out the are where we’re putting our tiki gazebo and patio…

The ground rests between a yellow apple tree and the big old maple tree in our yard– so there were a ton of roots to deal with. FUN!

We’re not done digging it out yet, but we got a lot accomplished. After that last photo we spent more time digging out this monster root that we may now use for some sort of decoration in the tiki gazebo.
I look forward to having this all done and sort of having an outside tiki bar to hang out at and draw comics from. YEEHAW!

Very nice work…..there’s something I’d wish to note though: Your yard is HUGE. Honest, I’m jealous. All I have is a room in the back of my apartment where I can mess with electronics and store all-that-I-don’t-use-but-don’t-want-to-throw-away. I’m pretty sure it’s usually the same where you live, but it still impress me.

Roots! They’re a menace! Lurking silently below the earth, waiting for you to dig a hole. Don’t let them get in your way.

It is true about the big backyard– we have about an acre here. The only downside is…. ITS FUCKING HERE!!! Here in Fayette-Nam—- but we’re going to make the most of it. I’m sure all the locals will think we’re kooky with all the tiki stuff we plan on puttin up, but they can all deal with it!
