Hero For Sale…
Here’s the lowdown- Hero By Night #1 is NOW in Previews catalogs across the country. Page 175 (which added together equals 13) , big full color ad at the end of the IMAGE COMICS section. Your best bet at getting it will be to call your local comic shop and ask them to carry it or reserve one for you. UseThe Comic Shop Locator Service to find your nearest shop.
I was happy to go to the nearest shop to my new place, *Bill and Walt’s Hobby Shop in Greensburg, PA,* to find out people had already been calling there for it. One guy had wanted 50 copies because they knew me or something. I know my inlaws called there as well.
Similar story up in Michigan, colorist Jason Embury went to his shop and asked if they would carry it, and the retailer said he already had it marked down because it sounded like a fun book. Now, that’s a smart retailer right there! (wink!)
For those folks overseas or not anywhere near a comic shop, I’m figuring out some details of a deal with another big Pittsburgh shop, New Dimension Comics, where you’d simply order and they’d ship it. Since it’s local, I could toss in some sort of sketchcard or limited print maybe? Of course, this will cost a little more because of shipping and handling, but I want to make it available to the people who have asked for it. At least 50 people in my inbox, and Jason said he had a bunch too. Man, you guys in the UK rock. I couldn’t believe the amount of orders on the old Yirmumah books going to all sorts of crazy sounding places in and around London and the UK in general. Wait until the new year coming up and I’ll have some news in this regard. I want to make sure everything is cleared with the retailer (already is) and my editors and believe it or not, the marketing team. AKA, “my people”. Heh.

So, I ordered Hero By Night at my local shop, House of Secrets in Burbank. Made me think of something from ages back. I used to be a fan of this obscure scifi series and in one issue they listed stores you could go to to buy it. So off I went and purchased the half of the series I didn’t already own, about five books at a time.
Why not have a “Hero By Night” locator for shops known to carry the book? That’d make it easy for your fans to go get ‘em.

Cool of you to try and sort out some way for us in the UK to order it, i’d go badger the people at my local forbidden planet but since they started thinking im stealing from them they wont listen to my requests (i look dodgy, i get followed in most shops)
