Hero By Night Webcomic

So here’s the skinny. The scheduling got a little off, and the official comic site isn’t done yet, but the Hero By Night webcomic will be launching really soon. If you were lucky enough to see my earlier update that was up for about an hour, you got a peak at how cool it’ll be… but the public will have to wait a WEE bit longer to see the actual webcomic.
Now this is seperate from the book series, there’s more info at the site, but It’s a prequel of sorts, showing you the adventures of the original hero from the 40s and 50s by way of his journal entries, etc. There is a fancier site coming to Drunk Duck soon, but we’re working on some cool bonus section ideas and working that all out—everyone has been REALLY busy and kicking some serious ass with this stuff and there’s much more to come. And in maybe bigger news, and this isn’t 100% concrete, but the HBN webcomic might be going M-W-F update very soon… your best bet is to get to the page and sign up with the cool HERO-GRAM newsletter doodad and Platinum or myself will keep you informed of any changes or late breaking info or Hero sightings around the city!
I have to give a hats off to Jason Embury who will be doing the coloring on both the HBN comic book series and the webcomic. He’s making me look VERY PRETTY and I love him for it. In his excitement for the project, he made the ad below for the webcomic just to build some excitement. Check it out, and remember, sign up for the HERO-GRAM thing, because there will be some things changing or the schedule or format may be changing up– we’re working out all those details.
I’m having a lot of fun. And I don’t feel guilty about it at all.

I love the concept of Hero by Night, but my favorite aspect of the comic was hopefully finding out about the original Hero. It’s like you read my mind with launch of the Webcomic DJ! Also, I didn’t know Brandon J. Carr moonlighted as a State Senator when he wasn’t drawing comics–Kudos Brandon!

Congrats DJ, I knew that HBN would be great and anyone that really does know you, knows that you will always remember your “fans” (friends) and that they are where you got your start. ****I Am Your Number Two Fan, because I know that Calypso and the kids are your Number One.**** I have really enjoyed reading Origin and now I get to finally see HBN…….

This is a pretty really awesome idea for a companion comic to HBN, Mr Coffman.

DJ,
Just a note - I tried to put in my addy for the HBN updates and it’s coming back with an error message. Not sure what to make of it so I thought I’d drop you a line.
I’ll check back later because I’m jazzing on HBN! Booyah!
