Happy Birthday Calypso

Let’s talk about stuff. First…
Happy Birthday, Wife.
It’s my wife’s birthday. Much like Calypso in the strip, I bought MY wife Bongos. Because, you know, of course I’m NOT DREW PRICE, and she’s not Calypso, those are just cartoon characters, yall.
So yeah, she said she wanted Bongos. You know, I didn’t know the difference between Bongos and Congas when I went to buy them. I figured BONGOS would be much bigger, it just sounds bigger. But no… Congas are the big ones. Bongos are the smaller kind. Anyway, I love you lady. I hope you like your damned dirty bongos.
Last night’s South Park?
Genius. Sheer genius. I haven’t watched South Park in a VERY long time. I think I caught the “ginger” episode and thought that was great too.. but after all the hullabaloo about Issac Hayes leaving the show, I had to check in. These guys turned this episode around in SIX DAYS!!! That’s amazing. And other media should take notice of that, especially comics.
Yirmumah Stuff…
The books are ALWAYS in stock in the store. There is this misconception by some people that you can only order during a certain time. No, that’s the lame ass Direct Comic book Market. Here at Yirmumah, we’re revolutionizing comic books, and your books are available NOW and sent to you promptly, and not 2 months later like poopy comic book stores. Well, unless you live in Canada. It took one girl WEEKS to get her book, but I’ve been informed that the Canadian post offices are a joke. Did you know, they sometimes open your mail there and then slap yellow tape on it and then BILL YOU FOR IT. No kidding. That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard regarding the mail system. — Solution? We need teleporters. Someone get on that.
AnyWHO, the books have done REALLY well. It’s a full time job managing that and doing the comic now, but I’m not complaining. No fuggin way! If I were a good Christian boy, I’d reckon I’d say I’ve been blessed.
Death just sucks. There is no other explaination
I was informed on the FORUM that an old acquintance from the bygone “coffee shop days” is dead. Stephanie Tressler, or as she was known simply as “Steph” — she was always hanging out grooving on the old vinyl collection there, and loved discussing things, things that you know, you discuss in coffee shops. Anything. She was a good person, and left behind a 4 year old son and a husband. She was funny because she had a pentagram tattooed on her wrist, and said no one would ever hire her because of it. She told me why she had the tattoo, but I’ve long forgotten now. Not sure how she died, but dying young, it’s just a damn shame.—- Man, those coffee shop days. Good times.
Captain Kirk is 75
And Captain Kirk is friggin 75 years old. How much skin do you think that guy’s gotten over the years? I could totally see him living into his 90s and working straight on til morning.
Enjoy your Thursday. Do something you love today. I know I will. ZING!!!

My comic with originial art arrived as well, and thanks, but that’s not why I’m posting. I speak on behalf of the entire Yirmumah comminity when I say that tomorrow’s comic had better be of Calypso in a bikini playing the bongos. Otherwise you’re just a cocktease.
(on a sidenote I’m totally kidding, and please don’t send Ghost Pappy after me)

I already said it in the forums, but I’ll say it here as well. Happy birthday, Calypso! Have a great one, girl.
Tek, it’s always nice to see you comment once in awhile. Now get your ass back in the forums!

Happy Birthday Calypso!
Also, nice Firefly reference. Made even a couple of your non-reader friends I have laugh.
Win-win.

Kaua’i, I literally have enough time to post the odd comment and read the comic, and that’s it lately.
No worries, my triumphant return to the forums is coming.

First, happy birthday bongo lady.
Second, so the books are in print whenever anyone wants, eh? That sure throws a monkey wrench into the “once you buy a comic you have to throw it into a mylar bag so it retains its mint condition and increases in value” mentality. Heck, we might get back to the days where we’re buying comics because we enjoy them yet.
