Hackiatus Day 3: Comics 4 You!
Some comics for you today! First, mature readers and all that, but I’ve done a guest strip for our pal Wiz Rollins for his strip “There’s Always Porn”. It guest stars Darth Vader. LINK
And in case you forgot, or I forgot to mention, Hero By Night actually updates M-F still you know?
WHat’s on my plate today?
1. I have to remember to call a special phone number at 3pm, NY Times is interviewing me, or questioning me. Not sure how long the piece will be, but be it blurb or otherwise, rock on! Last time they interviewed me, I don’t think any of my quotes made the actual article, but honestly, as long as they mention Hero by Night, I’m happy.
2. More issue 4 work today. Didn’t get a whole lot done yesterday. Today I will be like juggernaut.
Funny Story…
So I mentioned before that my kids have been taking in copies of Hero By Night for other kids who want to buy them. My oldest son comes home yesterday, and my middle son tells on him… I guess he was pulled aside by the principal and counselor lady for selling/trading comics before school. They told him today was the last day he could get books to kids who ordered, specifically issue ones because they have a HELLBOY ad on the back cover. And I guess, well, any time parents see the word HELLanything, it kind of screams “this is not for kids”. After the principal thumbed through issue 2 he said it was okay to bring it to school though. Thanks, HELLBOY! I had to just put my parental foot down and tell the kids, no more taking the comics to school to sell them to friends or whatever. One kid actually traded his Ben10 watch ($14.97) for an issue one!? I told my son, I bet his parents weren’t happy. I want them to give that back today, but my son says there’s no way he’s giving it back unless he gets the comic back.
