For people who hate the UkeClub strips…
Ok, if you hate the uke club strips, bare with me for two more days. This is something I promised I would do ages ago, and there were a good many people waiting for it. I know it’s not for everyone— think of it as my vacation break…
The usual toilet humor resumes on Monday. In the meantime…. I will demand you all buy ukuleles and be cool like Bigfoot.

I like the uke strips! I find them to be different, but still very funny.
If I had a uke Id play it outside of the kiosk, that would really freak some people out!
Only 9 Hours 2 Minutes left!
If you really want to freak somebody out tell them that you have a ill-tempered magical lightly salted peanut living in your closet telling you to do crude things to your body that your left hand disagrees with. Wow, the looks on their faces.

It takes them a wee bit to show on some pages is all..

I’m surprised to hear myself say this, but you’ve actually got me thinking about buying a ukelele. I mean… I can play the guitar, maybe I’d be good on a uke. And they’re so cute!
And I can totally afford a hella cool flying-V ukelele… Fuckin’ A!
June 29th, 2005 at 12:29 pm
I hate ukeleles and everything asscociated with them! I hate anything or anyone that talks about them! but wait…yirmumah can do no wrong….must rethink my oh so narrowminded ways.
forgive me! forgive me please!

I’d been considering getting a guitar for a while now. But now I’m thinking Uke. Well done, Coffman.

I have 2 AE guitars and a bass and once I got a Uke I hardly ever pick up the other stuff. It’s just so much fun! easy to tune, fast to learn. fun fun fun

Well I for one have been converted. I’ve never really given much thought to Ukes, but since reading these strips I’m looking at buying a cheap Baritone from Musician’s Friend (thank you google ads) to start playing on. Woo!
June 29th, 2005 at 1:28 pm
Damn you, Coffman! Now I’m considering taking up the uke and serenading TCU sorority girls. Which I’ll need the added skill for, since I’m officially hitting my mid-life crisis in four days. Book your seat now, boys & girls, this should be sad as hell to watch!

this petty booka fan loves the uke strips!! youhavent heard the ramones until you have heard their songs played by a uke
June 29th, 2005 at 2:05 pm
Ukuleles, both fun and interesting as well as informative. More comics should be like this.
June 29th, 2005 at 2:40 pm
I’m not a huge fan of the uke strips, but you can write and draw whatever the hell you want to.
June 29th, 2005 at 3:48 pm
Dev, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for ya.
June 29th, 2005 at 5:03 pm
Damn you Uke, it’s like my bass. Except cuter.
And sometimes it looks like a pineapple.
June 29th, 2005 at 5:57 pm
The Uke Strips rock!!!
June 29th, 2005 at 6:18 pm
Well damn– thanks people!

Strangley enough it has made me want to get my banjo sent here from russia.I have two guitars atm
June 30th, 2005 at 3:48 am
I don’t play guitar, and there is no ukeleles here… but well, it’s fun, it’s your strip. But the question is… what thinks Bob about Ukes?
June 30th, 2005 at 3:53 am
I must be honest here. I love your comic, but I’ve hated this last week of strips. I look forward to UKECLUB’s conclusion…my fuckin’ grandpa plays the uke, for Christ’s sake! He learned it in the Navy…THE NAVY!! Why couldn’t you have done a week’s worth of strips on the kazoo?
June 30th, 2005 at 5:27 am
I love the Uke strips. I think they follow the mild insanity that hooked me on your comic in the first place!
June 30th, 2005 at 7:18 am
I want to do a documentary on you doing experimental comics. You are a pioneer.
June 30th, 2005 at 9:04 am
Keep doing these strips, and before you know it, you can have an istructional book that you can sell in music stores.
my requests for the UKELELE CHORD descriptions for any of these songs—
Jonny Cash doing SAN QUENTIN…that song has balls.
some crap by Slayer and Nirvana.
anything form Ministry’s Psalm 69 album.

Bob is one of those freaks who can play any musical instrument, especially piano, keyboards, guitars, ukes, and probably drums too. He doesn’t need these lessons, but he was totally cool with me doing them.
June 30th, 2005 at 2:22 pm
I love the uke strips, and like (most) everyone above, I’m thinking about getting a uke too. Yes, I have problems.
