Eisner Nominations Open
Looks like I’m the first to break this over on the WEBCOMIC WORLD side of things, heh… slacking bloggers out there. The 2005 Eisners are now open and there’s a BEST WEBCOMIC category. SEE ALL INFO HERE.
Yeah, it’s a pipedream, but I went ahead and sent my links in again. Even just to be nominated would be CRAZY.
There seems to be some confusion as to this description in the webcomics crowd:
This category is open to any professionally produced long-form original comics work posted online in 2005. Audio elements and animation can be part of the work but must be minimal.
“long form”– “professionally produced” — that pretty much cancels out the majority of webcomics out there, right?. Well, I figure for me, since this is my bread and butter and I have sites that pay to feed the thing in, and paying advertisers, I guess it’s considered “professionally produced” — and heck, I haven’t missed an update all year long, so that’s one form of “long form” — and another would be story arcs like Burger King, or RetardaKitty….. It would stink if they discounted it because it was a humor comic.
Yeah yeah though. I’m aware I probably won’t get a nod or a wink or any kind.
A kid can dream though.

Well, of course I’m going to throw my name into that hat, as well. I have much less of a chance than you do, but yeah. Kids. Dreams. You said it, DJ.
And good luck. Maybe comparing your stuff to my stuff, they’ll realize how good you are.

Keep dreaming, bro. Good things can’t happen unless you try.
