Dreamhost is the BOMB!
Wow man. I’m passing this info onto the site because I get a lot of people who ask me about hosting for their own comics, etc. DUDES…. Dreamhost just upped it’s bandwidth to 1TB. That’s a TERABYTE people!!! And also, they’re giving 20GB of storage space!!! They literally octupled their stuff all for the SAME PRICE. I don’t think ANY webhost out there right now can beat this deal people. It’s also more than enough space to share the space with other comics.

oooh… they do look pretty good. And they accept Paypal, which is handy for those of us who are credit-card challenged.

Heck no! Dreamhost is pretty awesome man. Heck, look at the crazy content we do on here for years now… there are no guidelines to content you can or can’t host there. Not to my knowledge…
if it were called the “religious right freedom hosting” — I’d tell people to skip it… hahaha

Two friends of mine host at Dreamhost because they want to be able to post nudes on their sites, and Dreamhost is very liberal about permissible content. Also, despite having rock-bottom prices for gouts of services, their tech support is excellent; I’ve only had them be slow once in three years and normally they catch problems before I do. Somehow Dreamhost has managed to snag all three of fast-cheap-good.

Yeah, Dreamhost is a great hosting provider. I heard about them through a few people that recommended them (but I sent DJ the referral dollars). I’ve been using them mostly as a file server (for getting comic pages to and from people) and haven’t had a problem yet. I’m in the middle of transferring my website from my current host over to them (and recoding a bunch of stuff while I’m at it). Now to figure out what I’m gonna do with 1.7 terabytes of monthly bandwidth…

That’s a ton of shit for next to nothing, holy crap. I’ll definitely keep that in mind when my expiration comes up next year.
