Dick Cheney: “Go F–k Yourself”
Man, what an awesome live tv moment as Cheney was looking for a photo op and an angry survivor spoke out to him. See video here.
The same fella who said that, also mentioned in an interview something along the lines of “What’s he looking for? A piece of the 50 billion dollars now?”
And Cheney ALMOST said “It must have been a friend of John—” then he stopped. Has he forgotten that they beat John Kerry? Wow, the old grump must be carrying a grudge.
Only plus things I can think about when I think about the current administration, I’ll most likely live to see them all die someday. That’s a plus, right?
Only one I got.

Probably trying to scope out where Haliburton can “help”. I am soooo glad that people are starting to beat on these poeple. They are just evil and I can’t believe that it takes something along the lines of this kinda death and destruction to get it into the media.
My post about it: http://www.brentnorris.net/blog/?p=161

That was funny. Whoever shouted that is actually throwing Cheney’s shit back in his face. Back in 2004 while the election campaign chugged away, Cheney told Senator Leahy to “Go fuck yourself” after being asked about government ties to Halliburton. Those are probably some smart alecky liberal-minded relief volunteers giving the shout out in the background.
Also, the John reference is an actual attempt at wit, not a gaff or bit of senility. John Kerry did say something about fucking something or someone (about Bush policy in Iraq) and Cheney mentioned it back in ‘04 to deflect attention from his own dirty mouth. That’s why the reporters laughed. They got the reference. Plus they all secretly wish they really could go fuck themselves.
Here’s an article from the Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A3699-2004Jun24.html

The guy who shouted it was an actual survivor who had been there aiding people and rescuing animals. So he wasn’t a plant, that’s for sure.
September 8th, 2005 at 11:08 pm
Maybe that came out wrong. I didn’t want to imply plant. I actually support smart-alecky liberal relief volunteers, but it doesn’t change anything that it was a survivor. I just meant that the insult was double-edged and witter than it first sounds. Saying “fuck yourself” to the big Dick actually means something specific. And Cheney knew what he was saying back to the reporters, though it was misplaced and completely inappropriate to allude to Kerry and the election.

Dear Mr. Cheney,
Go fuck yourself.
Your friend,
Adam

What a bunch of LEFTY LIBERAL PRICKS your mentality astounds me.
Playing the typical blame game again, don”t you have any shame.

At nearly 60 yrs, I have never seen an administration I truly liked.. Republican or Democrat..
That being said, the vitriol shown toward Bush, Cheney, et al, is over the top..
I am reminded of a term used by Lenin..
“Useful Idiots”..
September 9th, 2005 at 6:31 am
well…I could get into the “F-yourself” thing…but…I dont really want to go there ATM…so I’ll just post this… DJ you said the only Positive you could think of was you’d get to see them all die. Well here’s another: although most think it a bad move the Bush administration’s push to land on mars in the near future and establish a moon base is a good one! We’re quickly Killing our planet and Mars is our best bet for a safe haven once mother earth kicks the big one. So while most openly oppose the move it’s really in our best interest, and pre bush administration there was very little drive for this sort of thing…so there you go. You now have 2 positive things from this administration.

I know how we can end all of this anger…the government can by a Brick of Silence for each and every person in the country. Then when people are pissed, they can lob the lovable foam bricks and that’ll be the end of it!
Yah for peaceful solutions that somehow still have violence involved!
September 9th, 2005 at 11:28 am
Eh, plenty of blame to go around, starting with the local officials. Bush’ll have to eat it for putting his fundraiser in charge of FEMA. But no one forced the Louisiana Governor to tell the Red Cross NOT to bring in food and water. And that’s what the Red Cross is saying now. They had supplies ready and were told not to go in.
September 9th, 2005 at 12:05 pm
It was a milestone moment in TV history!
September 9th, 2005 at 12:35 pm
That was funny as hell. I actually loled.
September 9th, 2005 at 1:01 pm
There’s all sorts of things I could say to reply to this “you’re just playing the blame game” nonsense, but I’ll restrict myself to this: people might not be so eager to play the blame game right now if W could ever just come out and admit it when he f*cks up. It’s called accountability and responsibility — something good CEOs engage in all the time. W is the CEO president, right?
September 10th, 2005 at 4:24 am
there is so much anger in this world. (and i have my own share of it) it makes me sad, though.
oh, to be a hippie
September 10th, 2005 at 5:29 am
um… accountability… yeah good idea…why is it that everyone thinks previous to Bush our presidents did no wrong? I mean I dislike Bush and his administration yes…but really the only difference between his administration is that they are to an extent being responsible. Every other administration that’s been in the office would have lied about the WMDs they would have faked some photos and arrested a bunch of ppl and called it good…the Bush administration actually came out and said “We fucked up! there’s nothing there!” The Bush Administration is the first one to actually go…oops! we got it wrong! So dont say they need to be held accountable cause if it were any other administration you’d have never known that they screwed up!
September 10th, 2005 at 12:20 pm
I am inclined to agree Mr Wong
September 10th, 2005 at 3:03 pm
When did the Bush administration EVER say “Oops, we fucked up”? I must have missed that one. Wasn’t he (W) the one joking around at some event saying “Yup we know they’re around here somewhere yuk yuk.” Meanwhile, how many of our troops have been killed or maimed all for nothing? Just because his daddy didn’t finish the job and he wanted to make daddy proud. How right is that? And now all the shit that is going on in New Orleans. This administration has done NOTHING right except make themselves richer.
September 10th, 2005 at 7:06 pm
bush just said that he was the response to new orleans was not good. thats what mr. wong was refering to.
reel it in there a bit woodchuckles.
September 10th, 2005 at 7:07 pm
…grammer is not my forte
September 10th, 2005 at 10:42 pm
Yeah, but Bush IS the reason (along with FEMA) as to why the response wasn’t good. He is definitely to blame for shit not being done as quickly as possible. He can’t let this one go so easily with just an “Oh crap, we fudged up real bad”. I’m sorry, but when it comes to this administration and Republicans I get a tid bit riled up. Especially when I see how Americans are being treated in America. This shit should have NEVER happened.
