A long time ago, Dave and his fiance Ann asked me to do their official wedding invitations all cartoony. Club members saw this ages ago, but today was the BIG DAY!

What a nice wedding. I got the boys all dudded up in ties and I wore one myself. (it’s VERY rare!) Everyone was so nice, and the whole thing went off without a hitch. We got to meet Dave’s brother who is sort of like if you put Dave in a cloning machine with the setting set to “a little younger”– and of course we got to meet Dave’s Mom finally who was also very nice. I did miss out on meeting Dave’s Dad officially though, although I finally got to see what he looks like.

Wow, we’re so happy for Dave and Ann. They are an awesome couple. Their inner nerds will be the key that will bind them together for all time!

Funny story… this was a catholic wedding, (I think, yeah) but you know how the priest wears the fancy robes and stuff? My youngest son saw him walking in and says “He looks like Count Dooku…” —- I was like— SHHHHHH!!! Oh please kid, please don’t start yelling Star Wars things at the nice priest man.

And yeah, I got recognized. Not only for doing the invitations, but also for winning that darn contest. Can I just say that it has been a very odd week for DJ the hermit? It’s all good though. I appreciate all the well wishes. It’s still very weird to be recognized in public though. Not weird in a I hate it or like it way, just “odd” I guess. I really do appreciate the warm wishes and congrats though. I think Dave’s Mom said that if before the night was over i’d be like the Ben Roethilsberger of the crowd— COME ON NOW!!!!!?

I mean, I would totally wear a helmet!

Anyways, I’m really happy to see them so happy. They’ll be away for a couple weeks on their honeymoon adventures– Have fun you two!

We’re officially exhausted now.
