Actually… It DOESN’T break my heart. I’m kinda glad he’s dead.

The man had MS for TWENTY YEARS! He couldn’t WORK! The last time he appeared on television he had a NON SPEAKING ROLE!!! It was a sad thing, the way a man of his talent and charisma had to live, and I’m glad he’s no longer suffering.

Richard Pryor was one of the first people to make me THINK when I laughed, instead of just listening to something silly. He was a great man, despite his demons and faults. May he rest on a pile of coke bigger than his house, and may it be replaced each morning after the $#%# maniac snorts it all!

I’ll always remember his Saturday Night Live skits opposite Chevy Chase in the 70s. Man, those had me rolling as a kid, and still have me rolling today when I see them on DVD.
What a sucktastic year it’s been for dying famous guys of character. Why couldn’t it be Freddy Prinze jr?

I remember watching his skits at 1 AM on Saturdays on the Comedy Central. He was a true comedian, everything he said could get me to laughing. I should go see Blazing Saddles to honor his spirt.

It’s pretty sad when you think about just how many famous individuals have died over just the past few years. Rodney Dangerfield, Johnny Cash, just to name a couple… and now Richard Pryor. Almost makes you think there’s some symptomless virus targeting awesome people. Don’t let it get you, DJ!

That dude was the funniest man who ever drew a breath. Every great comedian of the last 25 years has him as an inspiration. Apart from his movies and stand up act, he did shit like co-writing “Blazing Saddles” that no one knows about (unless they read his obit like I just did) He was one of the few comics who could make anyone, at any time, laugh so hard they would piss their pants. An unbelievable talent. He will be missed.
