strip: Pumpkin Carving

I know our handful of Bush loving readers will hate this one, but hey, what can I do? Man, it looks like Drew is having a seriously hard time carving pumpkins.

Wow, I can totally see it!
….
May I take a stab?:D

Hey.
Bush is a cool guy.
…
*snort*

Thap! Thap! Thap!
October 20th, 2005 at 7:45 am
…you have Bush loving readers?
October 20th, 2005 at 8:08 am
People who love Bush can read?
Keep up the awesomeness!
October 20th, 2005 at 8:26 am
Yes, I at least have 5 vocal Bush supporters here, a couple on the forums too. I’m sure there are more, seeing as how a majority of people voted for Bush and Company.
Everyone should carve their best George W. Bush for Halloween!

“seeing as how a majority of people voted for Bush and Company”
not true, if you include voter apathy then like 75% didn’t vote for bush.
October 20th, 2005 at 9:25 am
and dont forget that some of us didnt want nader, kerry, NOR bush to be elected, but gah, given our choices…
(no, i refused to even go vote myself, i cant see myself voting for any one of the three, but if an intellegent democrat comes along… im SO there!)
anyhow, i expect to see a lot of bush-shaped pumpkins smashed this year…

Man, I wouldn’t dare draw a comic like that, fearing a visit from the Secret Service…
October 20th, 2005 at 9:48 am
I don’t think the SS really cares much about Bush,
It’s Cheney you have to watch out for.
October 20th, 2005 at 10:00 am
Thats Quite the collection of knives and daggers you got there.
October 20th, 2005 at 11:39 am
Yeah, watch out for Cheney… he’ll declare martial law on the internet and arrest any dissenters!
October 20th, 2005 at 11:41 am
I’m Canadian, I couldn’t vote for the guy even if I wanted to…and I don’t. Personally, I didn’t see the big difficulty in picking someone last election. I noted Nader and Kerry weren’t Bush. People said Kerry would do a horrible job…..HELLO? Bush waged 2 wars in 4 years. That alone would’ve aided my decision.
All in all? Love the strip, DJ.

Eh. I voted for Bush and I’m not offended by this comic. Gave me a bit of a laugh. Hey, I’m checking in before work on a dialup, must be that I like the humor around here.
In other news, Google has auto-added (if I understand the process) a link to Johnny Cochran’s law firm on the last strip.
Cochran Firm Criminal Law

I live in berkeley and put up with a lot of really infantile whining about bush and really have little tolerance for it. This strip, however, was subtle and original enough to actually be funny. “Somewhere in texas…” isn’t.

That link above 2 comments totally broke the page. Totally.
On the subject of pumpkin cutting, have you guys seen this guy:

Yeah, sorry. Didn’t know it wouldn’t wrap. Seems to not affect the page other than having a honking string of text off to the right, though.

Ha ha!

I fixed that linkage, even though it goes nowhere for me.
Yeah, that Pumpkin Gutter site is pretty awesome!

If you didn’t vote, you don’t count. I’m tired of that crap. If you’re over 18, a U.S. Citizen, not a felon in certain states and not _officially_ mentally incompetent, you can vote. If you don’t, it’s your own damn fault. I piss on your so-called ‘apathetic ‘ voters. Every election I vote, even if it’s for someone I know won’t win but stands for the principles in which I believe.
Every election we get exactly the government we deserve.
Bah….

I think it’s hilarious that the “Lurch” pumpkin looks like John Kerry…
Go on see for yourself:

(Just keeping with the whole political/pumpkin thing.)
I agree with Sean too. I knew that my 18th birthday was going to fall on election day so I registered early just so I could vote. Though I have to admit that it was a little easier to fill in that box for Clinton than it was in any other sucessive election I’ve voted in.

“…you have Bush loving readers?”
Yes, I’m one of them.
“People who love Bush can read?”
Well, I can. only small words though. The Rolly Polly Puppy still gives me trouble.
Funny comic man, I knew there was a reason I bookmarked this place.
October 20th, 2005 at 2:19 pm
I can read too.
It was still very funny.
A little agressive maybe.
I will report you allllll.
Yea fascism.

I guess you could say I like Bush, I dunno. Personally I think that if you support someone, you have to be able to take a joke sometimes. I mean hell, every president and every one of their competitors has been parodied on various tv shows and webcomics like Yirmumah. If the Bush supporters get mad over this, then they just need to grow up in my opinion
October 20th, 2005 at 7:25 pm
man, I don’t see what the problem is! I love bush! I would hope the majority of the readers like bush. Except those whose favorite character is Way Gay Dave
October 20th, 2005 at 7:25 pm
oh wait
Georg W. Bush
I thought you meant the other kind

Orlandu,
You have a great sense of humor!
“I salute thee!”
October 21st, 2005 at 11:16 am
Thatnk you, I try. Had to get people to tell me what the word “salute” ment though. :\
