So, CLUB YIRMUMAH is a wee over a year old now. Some members have come and gone, and there were a lot of plans I had for the club that didn’t get to happen because well, as most of you know, this became a complete one man operation back in October keeping me pretty busy. Still, the club has been really fun, a place where the hardcore fans get to see the strips “fresh”, bonus stuff, discounts and pretty much ANYTHING I’m doing, I talk about or post about in there- they get ALL the dirt, just like they were hanging out at the tiki bar here. It’s a small but really fun group of readers and more so, FRIENDS. Heck, it is kind of a real CLUB now. (Sometimes I even post drunken posts there, but then sober up and delete them before many have seen!) They have my back too. When I goof up and mispell a word or say “it’s” instead of “its” because I’m lettering WAY too late at night and half asleep, they usually catch it before it causes me any public humiliation. They’ve become a mini-sounding board for me to bounce ideas to, some bad, some fantastic. I really appreciate the group and their support. Some of those guys would put their necks on the line for me, and they know I’d do the same for them. (Well, except for the hidden spies in the club who just want to lurk and see if I’m posting stuff about my sworn enemies. )

I’ve spent my “day off” installing a new Club strip archive. This includes all of the exclusive material for “Club Yirmumah” members. Issues 1-3 of the original minicomics, special 8 pagers, bonus strips, and MORE. All told, 73 pages of bonus stuffage in there. Club members, go check it out. Not in the club? Try it out. I’m shunning off other job offers and ideas I’ve had and focusing like laserbeam on getting MORE bonus stuff done for the club and the monthly book.

One person told me that 25% of his traffic comes from us. It’s gone so well that other popular webcomics (Punks and Nerds, Evil Inc, Starslip, Theater Hopper) have put this system in place, although some of their prices are a little higher, it’s still a great deal for advertising your own work around some already kid tested and mother approved busy webcomics.
