Cartographer

Didn’t have time to get to coloring today’s strip because I was filling book orders and mailing most of the morning… darn! I’m spoiled now to the point where if a strip isn’t in color, I smack myself. Also, other strips I see in Black and White, just don’t seem as impressive to me anymore, which is DUMB. It makes no sense whatsoever. Especially since i LOVE black and white artwork.
Odd what spoiling yourself with color can do.
Question of the day though– Mapquest or Googlemaps? — I’m a Googlemaps guy.

Def Googlemaps. The hybrid feature? Pure genius.
I found your site & strip through a random series of link clicks yesterday morning, and I spent the rest of my day (which had the potential to be productive) roaming through your archives and loving every minute of it.
Congrats, you have a new fan.

New Fans need to go through the Initiation.
Umm, I use Mapquest. I got me from NY to TN but It told me to take two lefts to get to the movie theater on the other side of town and If you go over there it’s a left and a right. I barely made it in time for the 8:20 and I was intending to catch the 7:45 showing. Kate Beckinsale is hot.
I see the strip at yirmumah and it’s all painted black…

I like to use MQ, GM and GE as resourses to make my own routes within my area.
I’ll actually “drive” the route using GE.
If I’m going outside of New England I’ll get a route from AAA.

I google map to find my own route, then print out mapquest’s map, because the street names disappear when I print out google maps.

I thought this strip was fucking hilarious. The laughter sorta caught me by surprise. Something about the word “cartographer” got me going.

I love google maps but since I live in NYC and don’t own a car it’s more a platonic love than anything deeper, more meaningful. I just thought I’d share that.

Googlemaps is way better, except they need to finish it. It still doesn’t work in europe. You really need it there because they highway system is insane. They don’t ever have signs showing the highway number, but instead they only show the next few big cities and its NEVER consitant! You’ll be going along towards Stuttgard then the next sign won’t list stuttgard so you’re freakin out thinking you missed it. Then the next sign lists it again. It’s insane and impossible to naviate without a map!
Sorry, I got into a rant. Googlemaps is better then mapquest.
