Well, I couldn’t help but get in a tizzy yesterday, after news places that I’ve respected for years compared Work For Hire contracts to sharing needles with AIDS patients, and everyone jumping to kick Platinum. What can I say, it honestly ticked me off this time. It’s all fixed now, I guess, and the people who jumped the gun and went off without details on their site, pretty much look like idiots today. The sky is falling after all.

Speaking of Platinum… there’s still time to submit to the 2nd Comic Book Challenge. Wow, they’re really upping the ante this year… you might kick yourself if you don’t submit and wanted to, and then later hear some of the “in the works” stuff that I’ve caught wind of. Exciting stuff! www.comicbookchallenge.com - more info there.

As I mentioned earlier this week, I’ve been busting butt here the last few days, we’re wrapping up issue four of Hero By Night. Feels great to be on that home stretch. If you take these four books and all the online journals… wow, what a nice little package. I can’t wait to do more after that, lots of stories to tell here!

Later this morning a reporter from the local paper is coming out to the office to take some pictures, etc. They’re going to do a story promoting the book signing we’re doing ni North Pittsburgh (Cranberry New Dimension Comics) on Saturday. Also the fact that two guys from the same town, have pretty decent jobs in comics now, and are both signing on the same day. I’m talkin bout my old friend Jim Rugg originally from Street Angel fame, but now he’s breaking it down at DC doing the critically acclaimed Plain Janes book - I’m really proud of Jim, I can tell he has a long career ahead of him. And the guy can hand letter like a madman too!

Issue three of Hero By Night is in shops now as well. I can’t wait to see how it came out. Secret origin of Iron Talon in there… God, I’m so nerdy excited right now.

Also, I think i’m going to endorse Barack Obama for president this year. All politics aside, Bob brought up the great point that it rhymes well with LLAMA and YIRMUMAH, so it’s pretty much a done deal that Obama is my guy. Yirmumah for Obama!
